Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you enjoyed the holidays and are off to a good start for a brand new year!
Here are some updates on how we wrapped up the year:
– Our theme for December was “Winter”. While we did do some winter exploration through a really cool snow sensory bin and some outdoor play, we also ended up focusing on STEM activities. Which is not too random, considering that National Computer Science Education Week kicked off the month. In case if you missed that post, read more about some of our winter and STEM activities here.
– We finally set up our YouTube Channel where we’ll be hosting our future #VirtualStorytime sessions, as well as an assortment of educational tutorials and other videos. We already have a few up so make sure to check them out here (such as our Simple STEM series, featuring a couple of our activities from December and we’ll be continuing to add to) and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE! We’re also on Pinterest now, so make sure to start following and start pinning!
– While we’ll still be active on social media and the blog, we’ll be taking a little break from our weekly homeschooling recap posts as we’re expecting a new addition to the family very soon 🙂
2017 has been a great year for us as we started this blog to share some of the things we do at home and connect with like-minded parents, educators, authors, and so many other dedicated individuals. We’re excited to continue this journey into 2018 and already have so many great things planned. So sit tight and brace for a great new year ahead!
